    I've been having to restart mine multiple times a day, I eventually did a factory reset yesterday after it was boot looping with a broken android sign, haven't had to restart since but I haven't used it enough today to see if it's stable.

    if anyone is wondering; samsung backup / dropbox backup doesn't restore a lot of stuff so try back up a different way first...

    A good few contacts with names missing now, all pictures and videos gone, all the apps I had re-downloaded but lost all configuration with them


    thankfully I manually backed up pictures although there wasn't much of value to be lost anyway

    Only works on non branded unlocked phones apparently. I've a Vodafone model and it doesn't work on mine. You can flash it via Odin but I don't think I can be bothered personally.

    If unlocked, you may still need a UK vpn and the beta to still be open for it to work.

    Does the beta still have no support for the gear vr?
    The "Software update - Update Postponed" that's always in my notifications bar is annoying, plus the fact it asks me to update every day.
    I'd put it on but I use the VR so I'll wait. Just wonder how I can stop the notification.

    I'm having a bad time at the moment, full bars of 4g+ whatever that means at college today where I used to get mental speeds like 40/10 on my previous phone and I tried to do a speed test, 1mb down and 0 up and the speedtest app crashed and the phone wouldn't reboot on its own without holding the lock home and volume down buttons.


    Now obviously that app must just be fooked but the speed feels that slow in places where it used to be grand on my previous phone.

    Also generally just getting lots of lag spikes here and there and generally just having to baby the phone so I don't make it crash by pressing anything when it's having one of these little fits.

    Just now while typing this I pressed the home button to wake it up, and it has frozen completely and restarted on its own.

    What should I do to completely clear everything and install from scratch with odin? The last time I just did AP BL CP of the newest 3 version I could find for download.

    I see the S7 Edge is £529 on Carphone Warehouse Uk's site, works out just under €625. I don't think I'd get it anywhere cheaper than that this side of Christmas?

    Went to order there and it won't let me use Parcel Motel. A trip North will be needed but doesn't the £100 off offer end tonight.

    New beta update out now for those who are registered.


    Separately, did any one get loyalty cards to scan using the beep n go app?
    It worked great on S6. Wouldn't work on S7 so got onto support who claimed the bug was fixed and if I wiped data and added a card again it would work, but no joy...

    Searched for it and set it up. It's like a password manager from what I can see. I have a few saved in there already that I used with the stock browser before.

    Thought it would be like that private folder on Note 7 but haven't come across anything like that yet. It says that supported apps will appear here like mobile banking but the list of supported apps is empty so far.

    Don't think so. You can probably flash the first version of the beta but I think you need root to flash subsequent updates.

    OTA might be out before xmas at this stage though, only two o/s issues on their release notes. That's only a guess, not sure when it will be rolled out.
