looks like showers last night got as far as north-west meath and then completely broke up so that explains why we got nothing last night. The midlands looked like it got alot.

GFS 6z look cold and frosty. After seeing snow falling yesterday wouldn't rule out anything over the next few days. Low pressure to the south only has to move north and the potential for someone to get snow looks good. Also ne winds for a good part of Tuesday, 850 temps not great but again yesterday didn't look great either .

The chart for tomorrow night looks just about right for snow on the wicklow mountains:

Sea strangers may bring a little something to the east

A nice covering on the Comeraghs this morning even to the lower levels. Here at sea level just a wet snow shower last night and mostly rain from a shower early this morning. Temp min was 0.4c. Currently sunny spells and 4.8c

Probably be confined to higher ground. But that could change

Westerly winds until late Saturday night so no streamers for the east coast tomorrow.
(Probably wrong thread for this *edit - thread moved)

Any chance that big clump of precipitation forming over the border counties will reach the east?

doubt it, everythings breaking up about 40 miles away from east coast with the exception of the south-east.

Makes no difference whether it does or not, its a balmy 6.0c in my backyard and would be much the same where you are.
    Airport and Phoeno both 5c.

Gfs 12z move Monday Tuesdays low further north. South and east getting some of what ever might fall.
Nearly 36 hours of North East winds. God if only there were colder uppers

It also brings less cold air over us so it's looking like a typical wet and windy late autumn day....ie: miserable!

Oh I wasn't thinking of snow, had to take the baby a walk and was wondering if it'd rain! A tiny bit of drizzle made it here anyway

Same old problem. We have the precipitation is to warm, we have the cold it's to dry.

We need the beast from the east, these kind of setups just tease us in the East

We're not far off it tbh.
The weather models are just about showing it for the start of December.
