Very easy, clean the screen, line it up and drop it on.

Got my orzly tempered glass protector yesterday.. Very easy to fit and lovely glassy feel to the screen again.. Id recommend it

    Thanks

Another 5 or so weeks and we should be getting Nougat.

I have noticed my phone keeps dropping the Wi-Fi signal. I don't know if this is my router or the phone as it has only been happening over the last few weeks. Any suggestions as to what I should do?

Interested in this as I get poor Wi-Fi on my phone at times. Eg in my sitting room, phone Wi-Fi is awful, yet laptops, iPad, ps3, firestick, her phone all work perfectly. Weird one

Anyone been using theirs without a case? How's it holding up? Been using mine in a case since I got it but they make it a little too wide. When out if the case it's a lot better, the depth of the phone feels a lot less than it is.

Do the chamfered edges stand up to average use?

I put a skin on mine a few months back. Just use that most of the time, although sometimes I slip it into a case and don't take it out for a few days.

I used a case for the first month but then took it off as I prefer it without a case. Phone lives in my jeans pocket (nothing else in the pocket). Couple of small drops and the kids have very occasionally used it. There still is not even a mark on the phone. Holding up very well.

Turns out it might be my router dropping Wi-Fi on the 5hz band as my OH seems to have the same issue on her iPhone 6. Time to update my 3 year old router.

I really don't like what this latest update has done to recent apps.

Oh you mean recent apps? Yeah, it's horrible. Can't imagine it's intentional, stock Android doesn't look like that.

I really miss the grid recent apps, was much better.

Yep, that's what I meant. I'm hoping it's not permanent, is it a feature of Nougat?

Would much prefer a grid option, and I can't think why it's not a feature with a range of customisation options baked into stock android.

The grid was HTC's implementation, but they dropped it as they moved more towards stock Android. My N9 which is on nougat doesn't have the flat recents like the 10 has now, I hope it doesn't stay that way.

I didn't get a UK charger with my phone, so I bought a Qualcomm quick charger off Amazon and a pack of 3 USB-C cables. Use my old charger in the car which works fine.

When are we getting Nougat? It should be here by now.

Yeah, it's very close. Matter of days, I'd say.

Ran an HTC beta nougat ROM on the 10 for a bit a week or two ago, seems nice.

I bought these which are handy as I can use my old chargers - 2-pack USB C to Micro USB

I've been using these since May/June, both work a treat, and as well as the stock charger in terms of fast charging:

Saw on twitter that HTC are about to release Nougat to unlocked US phones shortly. Other regions to follow soon.

If anyone is in the market to change their broadband there is a good Eir offer on the HTC 10 this weekend. It suits my needs as we still use the landline for mobile calls but it won't be for everyone. With cashback it works out at €89.50 per month for 18 months.

This gives me Broadband, landline with uk and mobile, eir sport and studyhub which will all be used. It also allows me to change the DNS on my router which isn't possible with my current Broadband router.

It includes the HTC 10 with 15gb, all calls and texts incl UK, Eu Roaming and 1gb Eu data.

Upgrading from the m7 which is a great phone bar some issues caused by an update so I'll hold off on the Nougat until I'm sure it isn't breaking anything.

Anyone seen the red HTC 10 in the flesh. Is it garish ? In-law is trying to decide between this for 549 on HTC site or go for the One Plus 3T.

So, those of you who have had this phone for a while, what are your thoughts?

I am due an upgrade, my 24months was up in Nov. I am assuming they don't auto give you another 24months?

I have a Xperia Z3 at the mo and I am on Three. I can get the HTC10 for €49 for another 24months. What ya reckon?

The cam on the Z3 is great, I am a bit concerned about quality on the HTC or should I be?

I still love it. Looking forward to having Android N on it.

The camera would be at least as good as the Z3, I'd say. My Mrs used to have the Z3 compact which I thought had the same cam as the Z3, and I always thought it was pretty poor. Only really good for outdoor shots.

If it means anything to you, DxOMark score the 10 at 88 for the cam, and Z3 only at 79.

Well it is 12megapixel v 20.7 on the Z3. But I suppose there are other contributing factors towards quality of pics. I am just comparing them here

Megapixels mean nothing. The M9 was something like 20MP, and it was poor.

The 10 wins on most things in that comparison. Bigger pixels, larger aperture, OIS front and back.

From memory, you have to take the Z3 down to 8MP to use most of its decent features anyway.
