It's the first large screen phone I've had, but the size of the app icons is weird for me. I think it'd be much nicer to have an extra row rather than enlarged apps.

For anyone else, you can select between 4 x 4, 4 x 5 and 5x5 icon screen grid by long pressing on a home screen and selecting 'screen grid'. Much nicer with the smaller icons imo.

Android Pay has just been downloaded in the latest Android update. Can I use this anywhere in Ireland?

No fake address. My home address in Ireland. It's a BOI MasterCard if that helps? Used it in Topaz earlier this week when I forgot my wallet. Super convenient!

Cannot get my debit card to register though.

Do you really need a genuine charger ?
I bought a blackberry charger because of recommendations on this site and it works perfectly .

Is it really worth paying for the genuine charger ?

I think that charger cost be £3 but its £9 now.

I've my original one permanently in work on the wireless fast charger as you need it for that and I want a fast one for home.

Just buy any of the Anker or Aukey ones on Amazon.

What about contacting Samsung Ireland.....give them some sob story about your one getting lost or something. A white lie!

Is this correct? The wireless charger only works with an official Samsung plug/cable?

Try dropping them a speculative email or call.....they might send you out one for nothing! Depends on how good their customer service is. It's a long shot but worth a try in my opinion.

I am very impressed with the one I bought and also has adopters for travel.

Link itwas only about 3 euro when I got it but its still a bargain at that price and very handy for travel.

I also bought a couple of them for €3 a while back (one broke though). They're only standard chargers, not quick charge....right?

they arent fast chargers but they still have it from dead to full in about an hour, which is fine with me.

I've had my S7 for about 2 weeks now and i am very happy with the battery life. I'm a heavy user (browsing both data and wifi, calls, bluetooth for the car and headphones and streaming deezer in the gym, location services always on) and I can easily get through the day with about 40% left at night.

Also i recently purchased a clear silocone cover and tempered glass screen from ebay. The cover is grand but the tempered glass screen is unseless cos it leaves about 1cm exposed on the left and right hand sides of the screen..Is that normal?
Yes its normal because they cant cover the edges without it lifting and/or creating a halo effect.

Can you post the link for your screen protector?

I don't use one as they are all crap. The plastic ones ruin the touch experience and 100 percent of the full cover glass ones don't stick or the ones that don't come to the very edge look awful and attract dust along the edges. Pus the halo effect. Basically any phone with 2.5d glass or curved edges are useless with screen protectors.

No I'm happy with s7 edge. The ip7 looks good but for me doesn't offer anything over the Samsung
