XF vs XC Fijion Lenses

Hi all,

Been trying to look this up but I seem to be just confusing myself.

To the Fuji users out there; is there any differences between using an XF lens and an XC lens similar to the way Nikon lenses are different depending on if its a DX lens on a Full Frame body or a Full Frame Lens on a DX body?

I was thinking of picking up a second hand XM1 but I don't know anything about Fujion lenses and they're too expensive to make a mistake with.

Both lenses work perfectly fine on all Fuji X camera bodies.
Stole the below from Fuji forums.

XF lenses feature metal construction and lens mounts, larger apertures, and aperture rings and toggle switches (for OIS). They are manufactured in Japan, with the exception of the XF 27mm f/2.8 pancake, which also lacks an aperture ring due to its small size.

XC lenses feature mostly plastic construction, have smaller apertures, will not have aperture rings or toggle switches, and are generally consumer minded in price and features. XC lenses are inherently more compact and lighter. They are manufactured in China and soon the Philippines.

i must add thought the XC lenses are still optically excellent.

Cheers Mupperkiller. it comes with a 16-50mm kit lens. It looks like a fun little camera so I might just go on ahead and grab it.

The X-M1 is the first gen Fuji , so pretty slow to auto-focus but image quality is still fantastic. I'd hold off and pick up a X-E2s or x-t10 on the refurb site http://shop.fujifilm.co.uk/digital-cameras/refurbished-digital-cameras
