it really is pathetic. The amount of money these guys spent to travel to give much needed support and it's a bad thing!

Anyway, on a different note, I am shocked there is so few dead heats (I can't recall any for the gold medal this year) in swimming competitions. Especially the 100m, 200m events. There is often a .2 of a second PBs between some of these guys/gals, you would imagine there has to be a couple over the events, even in the heats

Ah ok. I wudnt be strong on boxing and the pundits in the studio were acting like this fight was the one where we cud get back on track. That was my impression anyway.

Nothing to do with my memory....I don't think:)

In just over an hour Simone Biles will be destroying the competition in womens gymnastics individual all-around for her second gold medal, there should be a tense fight for silver and bronze too :)

Im aware of that, the poster i was responding to had stated 'we finally won one' or something to that effect. I pointed out that we had one two fights prior to today that it hasnt been all doom and gloom.

Going to play GB in the final.

Some achievement for them considering this is the first time they've competed as one nation in Sevens.

to be fair though they've the pick of the best from three rugby nations.

haven't they won the world cup a few times and various other top Rugby 7s competition though?? They were favourites going into the tournament.

Didn't NZ rugby do similar for their best XV in years gone by?

    England have, not GB.

The team only got together 10 weeks ago. Most of the other nations are specialised sevens sides who play together on the the sevens circuit throughout the year. They'd be much more used to each other and settled as teams.

England were the representative team in the qualifiers for GB.

Well thats OK then. Nothing to see here, everyone move along please...

Speaking to RTÉ News, Mr Hickey said the OCI does not handle tickets.

He said: "What I can tell you very clearly is that there is no impropriety whatsoever from anyone in the OCI or myself in the dealing of tickets. I want to reassure you on that 100%."

Mr Hickey said he fully expects that the OCI will come out of this with a clean bill of health.

What does Argentina drawing mean for our hockey team? Can they still qualify if they beat them.

Yeah beat them and we're through.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Are Argentina a side we could beat?

There seems to be a deep gulf in class between the top hockey sides and the rest.
