Not going myself, and if you cannot make it, I saw a poster for some kind of Viking long boat festival coming up in a couple of weeks, Sailing a Viking ship up the Shannon with nightly barbecue's and music etc. I will probably have a look.

Ran out of space for recording medicines a few years ago and now use sheets. So I suppose it is redundant if you are using Agfood online register and sheet records for medicines iykwim

Once there is a written record of the treatment and withdrawal date that's the important thing

    As Homer Simpson once said
"If God didn't want us to eat animals he shouldn't of made them meat flavoured":)

Education system is gone to pot when you have to explain to these people that
if you don't eat these animals they won't be there.
Best way to save a farmed animal (breed) is to eat it.

I thought it was the alltech feeder now?

I thought it was the alltech feeder now?

    Still being sold as Keenan.

No I was at the open day today.
Alltech reps were there talking about yeast products and nutritional advice.
Big turnout more than they expected.
I wanted to see the feeders being made.
When our tour started the workers were finishing up. But got a tour of factory and looked very good. They said they can turn out 10 machines a day. Liked looking at the robotic plasma cutters going.
George Lee was there as well.
Barbecue and beverages after was good as well. A good atmosphere for selling machines.

And no I didn't buy maybe next year.;)

I'm was surprised they got taken over. I'm not sure the market is there anymore for the advice or machines. But if they are keeping a few lads employed well and good.

If they made a tub then they would be admitting that the product they are selling for years is an inferior machine and throw all the birds nest talk out the window. They made dung spreaders aswell. Know nothing about them.

Alltech had a map of the world of their offices. As far as i could see they are in every country bar some of the African ones. They have the whole package now.
    So whatever the future holds?

A lot of farmers in my area now started with tubs and stuck to them or else converted to tub feeders what are the lads thoughts on here about the two types i myself am not a fan of either feeder. A lad i worked with in the UK told me that apparently a farmer in cheshire came up with the idea for the keenan feeder but hadnt the money to get it patented at the time and keenans copied his idea does anyone know is this true?

Yes we were told this too, I went to college in cheshire and the farmer in question took students from our college on placement, Either Kane or west bought his idea.He also made a dung spreader. Very inventive man, cant remember his name

If you look under direct payments for 2015 it give a breakdown of the payment, it includes financial discipline , mine is down 100 euro on last year
