I don't try to pretend my nonsense is relevant to real life at all.

You don't see the news, weather and video-games being reported on at the top of every hour on the radio/TV.

The stuff i'm interested in is trivial and i understand that and i don't try to pretend it matters like sports fans do. Hours upon hours of coverage a day, half the newspaper wasted on grown men/women playing games like children. Embarrassing stuff for a modern civilization.

Man do good at play game. So-****ing-what?

People like sport. They like to hear how Shane is doing. They play golf and they can relate to it.

Sport is exciting, healthy, fun. People like it. You're attitude is the only thing embarrassing here.

Good stuff. Do a sport, be interested in it. Go nuts.

Don't even expect the rest of the nation to give enough of a **** that it requires ubiquitous daily media coverage or the type of funding it gets over severely lacking essential state services. People are literally dying in corridors on trolleys and we are still giving state money to people to play games.

There are far more important things than someone playing a game. I realize that with my hobbies, what's the problem with sports fans realizing that?

The influence sport has on a nation reduces health issues physically and mentally.

The coverage it gets is based on demand.

It's easy to avoid. I dislike rugby but I'm able to avoid it.

However it's incredible you don't understand the benefits it has to society. You'd be a poor parent if you didn't encourage kids to get involved in it

People who follow sport realise there is something far more important than sport as well.

The reason it gets media coverage is because it is a subject that interests a lot of people and people pay money to watch it and read about it.

People playing a sport is undoubtedly a good thing for society it helps peoples physical and mental health and that is why sport gets government funding.Other hobbies like reading, film etc get government funding as well.

How in under feck will that work? The I could end up a fiasco if he ends up one shot clear at the end.

He lost 2 shots for grounding his club in a bunker in 2010.

    Could get very confusing.

    Lowry to -4. Come on!

Maybe Dustin Johnson's colourful past is coming back to haunt him in that the officials didn't take his word.
Apart from the drugs - marijuana and cocaine, he also slept with at least two wives of fellow professional golfer in the past.

Don't see what his past has to do with the round of golf today tbh. If he is to be penalised then it should be done at the time. It's not as if it's only been noticed after the round. Golf has a lot of stupid petty rules imo.

I've saw this happening before but normally not this important. I hope Lowry or someone passes him on the course or else dustin races clear as otherwise this could create a whole ****storm for golf.

Whats the story with Dustin, did he call a foul on himself but the scoreboard isn't reflecting it yet?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 9,622 ✭✭✭Ruu

DJ missed his par putt, so tied for the lead with Lowry (unless DJ gets penalized later on!)

Rory Mac and Speith are saying it's ridiculous to blame dustin if the ball did move. I'm confused.

Just saying the officials showed a lack of trust of what Johnson had to say.

Disgraceful that a decision hasn't been made already. Lowry,Johnson and the rest of the players have no idea what score they need to shoot.

I hope that if Lowry wins he wins by 3 or 4 strokes so there can be no doubt about his victory It can't be a nice to effectively win on a technicality if that is what happens.
