Does anyone know of any good tutorials for using the grep command, apart from the manpage? I'm writing a script that, atm, leaves me with a list of IP addresses in brackets like so:

    (xxx.xxx.x.21)
    (xxx.xxx.x.22)
    (xxx.xxx.x.23)

and I can't seem to get the addresses on their own, without the brackets. Any ideas?

pipe the output to tr -d "()" to remove all ('s and )'s
