Fave Mature Cartoon?

Ive Called these mature cartoons, because i mean, they arent really childrens cartoons (most of the time)
IMO, Family Guy pwns all. id only seen about 5 episodes then we got the season 1 + 2 DVDs, so im happy.......! (200+ mins on each Season!)

FUTURAMA it's like the old simpsons good humor and funny and it's unlike the new series of simpsons which is terrible using american humor and generally not funny the rest are good too

The Simpsons still comes tops.Look,they have had the odd god awful episode recently but on a whole it is maintaining a respectable quality of humour.In fairness it cannot be as fresh as it once was and it can be honestly said that it started out as a fairly crap kids show in he beginning before becoming more satirical and mature.

South Park tries too hard to be satirical and fails because they only seem to half know what theyre talking about.It was a classic in series one but went down after that.

Futurama is quite good but not as great as the simpsons.

Family Guy was great in series one,back in the days when seemingly I was the only person who watched it.Not one of my friends ever watched it even though I constantly raved how it was the best show on tv in years but everybody started watching in series 2 and thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread.I thought it really went down hill after series 1,which rivalled even the simpsons in terms of intelligent writing and comedy.

Family Guy tbh... but South Park comes a very close second.

the simpsons is good, but should've died a long time ago with some dignity.

futurama is pretty good, but its just too much like a new

Futurama a close second, can be a bit hit and miss at times.

South Park, not a regular viewer, but what I've seen, I've found hilarious.

Family Guy for me...... Razor sharp humour in the first 2 series. Looking forward to series 3 on DVD at the end of the month.

Early Simpsons episodes were classics too.... Series 3 is out on R1 DVD late August (about f**king time!). Should be out on R2 shortly afterwards.

I think Samurai Jack kind of fits the 'Mature Cartoon' bracket too. Its too stylised for kids, and some of the humour is top class.

tbh, the 2 that i would go for would be "god the devil and bob" or "stressed eric" but they arent in the poll so i would have to say Family Guy. i think the simpsons are utter tripe and i hold them in the same status of satans spawn and i wish they were dead. dam you matt groening

I only get to see Family Guy on rare occasions - but I would vote it ahead of Southpark, a close second.

I don't really see the new simpsons any more but there is nothing but bad reviews. BBC and Net 2 nearly look like they have the good end of the stick at the moment, showing all the episodes years behind Sky.

Thanks to the wonders of the net and a T3 lineat work i have downloaded most if not all the epsiodes of family guy.

It rocks.I still havent watched them all but its the best show i have ever seem.

Shame it got cancelled , i thinik it could have run and run like the simpsosne which are still funny because you have to watch them twice as humour is very subtle sometimes.

Would be South Park for me closely followed by Beavis & Butthead and Simpsons. I have never really liked Futurama.

family guy, it's so good it hurts! and the simpsons... well, it's gone down hill... i think Beavis and Butthead would be funny if i was twelve and hearing all the rude words but they just don't cut it for me at this age.

Love Family Guy, have seasons 1 and 2 on dvd, getting season 3 the second it comes out.

Liking south park as well, have downloaded most of seasons 3,4,5,6&7. Love some of the really surreal bits like featuring the master control program from Tron as Moses.

If you look at it in terms of what is currently being produced then the Simpsons can't really compete (is Beav and Butt still being produced?).

In terms of which of these is the best ever then the Simpsons would get my vote. As it stands though I voted family guy.

It was close between the Simpsons and Family guy but I went for the Simpsons because apart from season 1 when Homer had his annoying voice and dated horribly, for ten years it has kept me laughing. I still have trouble picking between BBC2 and Network 2 at 6pm of a weekday evening and I try to find something else to watch between 6.30 and 7.00 when it starts on Sky.
So for consistency and longevity the Simpsons get my vote.

Family Guy is the funniest show to come out in many years and I watch my DVDs and divxs all the time. I look forward to the end of the month for season 3 on DVD. I would compare it to Bill Hicks, having died too young with so much of it's genius left unrewarded, or something.
