Toshiba laptop help!!!!

    anyone know anythig about a toshiba portege 660cdt laptop???

    if the battery l.e.d is orange is it dead?? will it charge just by plugging it in then???

    have a 2nd hand one here and havent been able to power on yet,

    help needed!!!!!

    therea gree lighyt at the power alright, cant seem to find an 'ON' button either..............


    feel fairly thick!

    I don't know about the 660CDT but for a Satelite 4000CDS the power button can be protected by a small moving plastic bit...

    As for the battery led, yes orange: need to be charged
    Green: ok

    Have you try toshiba supportSupport ?

    Sorry I think I wasn't clear in my first reply.

    The plastic bit should slide to give access to the power button.

    As for the led:

    The system indicator panel

    The AC power light glows when the computer is connected to an external power source.

    The on/off light glows when the computer is on.

    The main-battery light indicates the main battery's current charge. The battery light glows green when fully charged. It glows orange while the battery is being charged. It does not glow if the DC IN power is removed or if the battery is completely discharged.

    This is not for the 660, but I guess it might be the same...
