    Hi the ionasphere must be very active at the moment, here in Tramore I'm getting TVE 1 and the spanish radio is interferring with RTE and other channels. The Tv reception is quite good nice to see TVE 1 again.

    i've had Spanish radio on a few occasions but never Spanish television. what's the frequency so i can keep an eye out for it

    These are the SOUND frequencies for various Band One channels
    Spain (along with most of continental Europe) uses the "E" channels with Video 5.5 MHz below Audio

    band 1 is being phased out in Spain and main transmitters being moved to UHF - this case in Madrid with the Torreespaña txfor the city and Navacerrada tx for the rest of the Madrid region,

    Band 3 is being phased out too - the Montanchez tv in Extremadura in the SW has moved TVE1 to UHF now. Most (new) relays now UHF too.

    My degree is in Spanish so have been a regular visitor there.

    Is there any "Transmitter anorack" sites for European countries that give frequency lists and coverage maps ?
