i had 3 guys from ibb out on friday doing a line of sight test to both tallaght and 3 rock base stations and i could see neither from my house but they were really sound and put me down to test this new thing they're bringing out on the 3 rock base station in 2 weeks, it's wireless with absolutely no need for line of sight and has a 512/256 speed. it costs 110grand for a base station so dont expect to many to quickly but the guy told me it'll be uncapped and 25-35 euro a month, plus really cheap and easy to install. they had some weird name for it, not wifi, he was australian so i couldnt quite catch it! can anyone tell me about this?

there are some non LOS wireless technologies. There's a thread somewhere on the boards (maybe IOFFL forum) talking about it and mexico city (where there's a big roll out of it apparently.)

Didn't think we'd be seeing it in ireland anytime soon, if it is, then kudos to IBB.
