I'm currently gigging, but looking for something different.

I play lead and rhythm, sing harmonies for the front man, and sing about a third of the set currently.

I'm a tenor, but can go a little higher with some falsetto - depending on the style / power etc.

Only interested in joining an enthusiastic band with a professional attitude to rehearsal and gigging.

How do you feel about playing in a Metal band?

Yeah, metals great. Aside from the obvious, I like Testament, System of a down, Alice in Chains, QOS , Soundgarden....

Used to play a lot of Megadeth in my spare time. Never gigged metal stuff. I was in an original punk / metal band before. We wrote about 15 songs. (Probably should hav been 5 good songs).

But if there are gigs, I'll play & sing no problem.

I think my influences would be more along the lines of Metallica, Emperor, Enslaved, Fields Of The Nephilim, Arcturus, Behemoth, Anathema and all that... Ever listen to any of them? Asides from the obvious Metallica, that is.

No gigs unfortunately, I'm still pretty much in the writing stages, and there's no drummer. Perhaps you might be interested in a bit of a jam tho?

Sorry for taking so long to reply AngelWhore, weve had no internet here in my estate for over a week.

To be honest, I haven't heard of most of the bands you've mentioned. I'm also in it for the money :) My rent is covered by gigs at the moment and I'd like to keep it that way.

I listen to a variety of stuff, and I don't think I could stick to one genre (even though metal is too broad to be called a genre) when it comes to jamming.

I listen to lots of metal (recorded all of John Kennys' Metal Shows for the last five months before the show ended).

I also like a lot of eighties music, including Prince, Toto, Seal etc.
I like 70's rock, and I'm a big beatles fan (have about 12 albums).
Also Muse, The Chillies, At the The Drive In. I listen to classical when I want to wind down.

But I seriously am in it for the money, and I didn't realize you were into seriously heavy metal so I don't think it sounds like my thing. I also think I would be too 'out of touch' with where you want to take your' band. For the last few years, I only really learn songs if I know we can gig them too, so I've been playing The Eagles and Pink Floyd a lot lately :)

Ah well, thought I'd ask anyway.

    Nothing lost anyway...

Fair enough. We're in Sally Longs on Thursday if you're around. But we don't play any metal. Just rock. Hope they like us
