I dreaded the day this started. Only solution if a flood starts would be to only allow members of certain ranks PM rights.

We don't have a user by that name, so I assume someone sorted this ...

I sorted it before he got going. You see now why I despise these people.

I wonder if we should make an example of this company...

ps: Cian or Ballooba can you forward me the PM if you still have it... I didnt get one (afaics).

hmm, cian and balooba eh? both quite high up in alphabetical order.

    /me sniffs a pattern.

I think stopping pm's from new users is a bit harsh at this point. If such pm's are reported quickly and the users banned, then we should be ok.

How about limiting PM sending to people with more than 50-100 posts? That way it makes the PM Whores(TM) contribute to the general community and the muppets can be spotted beforehand.

Would they not use ID numbers not names?

Can we? I've exams till Wednesday and some, er, socialising after that but I'm free to phone them and ask them if they sell cocoanuts from Thursday or Friday on. Nothing relaxes after a hard few weeks of exams like being a vindictive scut.

To be honest I went and looked at their site. Its pathetic. It doesnt sell anything and its a seemingly empty clone of Boards in the UK with about 2000 posts in total. If we invaded them we'd only be kicking the unfortunately-stupid and doubling their post count at the same time.
I'm a kunt but I'm not a jerk... I've mailed them to tell them to politely f*ck off and not come back.

Am I getting soft in my old age? :)
