Yes I HAVE searched boards for info and though these products are mentioned from time to time I still need to ask the following... if it doesn't upset anyone too much :)

    For Netsource SOHO product:

I am trying to chose between:
    Netgear DG814
    Dlink504
    Vigor2600 (Much more expensive)

Q: Is there an issue with PPPoA and PPPoE or something ? Do all router/modems not cope with both ? Am I restricted with NetSource to specific products ? or is it just an academic thing ?

Q: I see the Netgear has had problems with Eircom DSL - does this mean it could also have similar problems with Netsource ? as they are essentially reselling the Eircom product ?

Q: Is there a good modem/router that allows both wired DSL and wireless DSL from the same box or do I have to chose ?

    Hi Piliger

Just this week I've been connected to NetSource and I have the D-Link 504 router. Very nice piece of kit and I've had no problems with it. Very easy to use.

The D-Link 504 supports both PPPoE & PPPoA so you'll have no problems there, and I'm pretty sure the NetGear supports the same protocols.

For a good review site for all of the routers you've mentioned have a look at:
    http://www.adslguide.org.uk/hardware/reviews/

With regard to dual modem routers (wireless & wired) check out the D-Link 604 it might handle both...

    Hope this helps...

Thanks a lot Skittle - I thought no one would lower themselves to offering a little advice.

Info: I was considering the Solwise 815 until I heard yesterday about all of the problems NetSource are having with it. Today I learnt that they are STILL unable to offer a fix and they have advised users to look at the Dlink504. Because my connect is due soon I guess I have no alternative to follow that advice.

I have the Netgear DG824M router and I have to say it's pretty sweet.

DSL model, 4 port router, wireless router, and firewall all in one neat little box.

I got it from www.riskfree.co.uk for user 300 euro

I just found that there is a SpeedTouch 510v4 router available from DSLSOURCE in the UK for ST£70. Sounds like good value if it is conmpatible with NetSource.

Are there no NetSource people out there ???????????????????????????????

Moved to broadband from nets/comms. Will probably get a better response.

The line blurs a little bit really between the two boards...
