I recently got myself Reason v2.0, and I have to admit I'm impressed. This will be the first piece of kit, that has actually giving me decent results....either that, or the last time went arsing about I had less patience. I am a complete beginner to the whole area of production, but have 4 years of DJing experience, and come from a family of musicians. Tis about time I fought my own corner for a change :D

So on that note (no pun intended), where can one download decent samples off the net, that I can import and play around with. Decent quality ones. If I was to be specific tribally, techno(ey), progressive(y), house(y) stuff, and if you have time, some Jazz. So far all I have are the ones that came with Reason. Which cover a broad range of electronic samples, and also some classical stuff (which I can't see myself using, but I'm sure others will).

Also I've heard Fruity loops is good, but this (Reason) was recommended to me, and it's the new version, and I was lazy. I know there are a few of you on here doing this for a while, any pointers, URLs, etc, would be grately appreciated.

    cheers ;)

    ;-phobos-)

I don't use Reason so I'm not too sure were you're going to get hold of ReFills, but you should definitely get the 2.5 update - apparently it's a huge improvement with lots of additions (seems to have been released in answer to Cakewalk's Project5).

www.sonicreality.com , they make excellent VSTi based sample collections and have now released some as refills so you could have a look here to start with.
