Just thought this would be of some interest...
    Article from The Register

Although the service is expected to begin being rolled out during the summer there's little detail to today's statement.

The ISP acknowledges that the service has to be affordable.

    It is what it's.

Tiscali to launch Euro Sat BB service Again . Tiscali and Gilat must have fallen out.

Beware of Tiscali, they have no presence in Ireland and no customer service here. You will probably have funky problems with the special Comreg licence for the Uplink....seeing as Tiscali are not a licenced carrier in Ireland I can see 'issues' .

Your consumer rights are zip (if it goes pear shaped) as well.

If you do get VSAT , you should get it from an established Irish Supplier such as Armstrong or WebSat (if they launch something decent as they intimated they may) or Digiweb. At least the Comreg licencing will be straightforward and you will have your rights as a consumer if it does not perform adequately.
