i seem to remember putting a"cassette recorder" up to the telly
when i was 11, to record the music from the "desert chase"
sequence in Raiders.
i later cycled around listening to it on my (huge) walkman

The English Patient - may be a 'chick flick' but the music is amazing.

Also The Thomas Crown Affair - simply because the music suits the film perfectly...it's never obtrusive, just a perfect part of the whole.

You needn't shudder!! I wouldn't exactly call myself a fan of 'My Heart Will Go On' but the rest of the soundtrack is absolutely amazing!! They really captured the emotion of the whole thing, brilliant
