    Hi Lads,
While visiting a colleague with this Oven Receiver that was giving No Signal Received probs on H transponders I noticed the sound chip is a CS4922. Having replaced the LNB and all well I pursued this chip.

That chip has an sp/dif output on Pin5. I have same in my Nokia 9600 and thanks to another site I added an optical output and also an RCA(Phono) socket with great results.
In the Grundig, Pin 5 is free, its just soldered on the pcb with nothing connected to it.(SMALL BEWARE)

Soldering onto Pin 5 isnt easy but I managed with a decent iron > by bending the wire in position pre-tinned and taped across the top of the chip.. The rest is up to some nerve and finding 5v on the board....

If an RCA socket will do then all you need is Pin5 and ground>

At your own risk!!! Dont blame me>

Enclosed is a modified graphic for adding the TOTX optical transmitter which I took from the dvb2000 site.
