Drumming QOS

Can any drummer tell me how to measure the silence in the Queens of the Stone Age song 'You think I aint worth a dollar but I feel like a millionaire'.

If you know the song you'll know the bit I'm talking about. It's near the end. I'd like the band to pull it off without using hats to come back in.

    Cheers,
    merlin

Play along to the song and measure the wait that way, just get used to how long you gotta wait then devise some method to cound the missing beats (mike portnoy hits himself on the head with the butt of him drumsticks, odd method, but hes a brilliant drummer so I wont comment on his technique).

For any other drumming questions go to the 'intruments' forum, thats where this belongs really.

Thanks, I'll continue the thread here and if a moderator wants to move it they can.

I've tried measuring it and I don't think the measure the gap with the same timing as the rest of the song. Maybe this is a studio fix that even they themselves can't reproduce on stage. I've even tried counting in half beats and it doesn't add up. Maybe quarter beats :)
