You can't, because no such thing exists, because modern PCs aren't powerful enough to emulate an architecture like the PS2s.

Buy a PS2 if you want to play PS2 games.

    End of story.

There is no PS2 emulator atm that will run like ones PS2. The nearest anyone has come is the guys working on PCSX2. Rambo posted a thread relating to this which can be found here > http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?s=&threadid=94017 <

I think we won't be seeing an emulator for absolutely ages too. All the custom processors and the high bandwidth make it by far the most sophisticated console ever released. XBox and GC are far more likely because they use PC derived hardware.

I think emulation will die soon, every console is very much comlicated and not many people are willing to go through its mechanics etc, if they are willing to do so just for the knowledge of it then i am pretty sure theyd get a job doing something else .
Ps2 wont be emulated b4 dc , which is still not emulated.
    Thats just my view.

 Were do i start! Emulation has still got a lot of life yet placebo. Prime Examples...
    1. MAME! Goall is to add every arcade ever!
2.MAME,Zsnes,FBA, Gens ports to consoles.(Xbox etc)
3.New emulators for mobiles (c64, Gameboy and eventually Snes and MD)
    4. Active development on Sega Model 2 from the nebula team.
    5. Active development on the Atari emu project tempest.
    6. Active development on a dreamcast emu It's not as far away as you might think.

Don't confuse a lack of emu releases as the end of emulation. If you've been interested in emulation for as long as I have you'd know its just part and parcel with the scene. On the whole PS2 emulation lark, Its not a question of if Ps2 emulation happens its when. It may be 5 years down the road but heh;)

with the price of gc's anyway, and the fact that id rather sit on my sofa and play games than in a crap chair in my cold pc room, also the games are designed for the specific console hardware and controller console games are just easier gta-vice rocks

Active development on a dreamcast emu
    where ??

only good thing about dc emulation would be multiplayer, i suppose emulation is not dead, but its going pretty slow, but i guess its worth the wait, CPS3 man, CPS3

Take a look at www.boob.co.uk and Icarus. Dreamemu is also still active afaik. CPS3 is further off because the games are encrypted, on CD and consist of only a few games (Street fighter mostly) so it may take a while to get someone working on it.

Emulation always has these lapses in activity, then someone cracks a new system and the whole rom begging starts anew :)
As for CPS-3, its not really a matter of the encryption, its more an issue that no one has really dumped the system board or any games. Also, theres very few games that actually run on the cps-3 hardware and its mostly SF3.
It should all become a little more active when raz tells everyone what system hes been working on cracking as of late, as he made a point of saying it wasn't cps3 related.
