How Do I explain this but there is supposed to be a hill somewhere in Ireland and when you are in your car and have it turned off .......... up will be pulled back up the hill some how .

There was a skit in Fathe Ted when jack was pulled up the Hill.

The Question is Have you heard of this hill and where is it.

Yip theres one in on the way up to the Mahon Valley car park, as you pass through the gates, there is a stunted tree about 500 metres along the road on the left hand side beneath Daymore. If you stop here and put your car into neutral it will roll magically back up the hill. This is a well known and unexplained phenomenon which really does work.

Ahh theres the "Electric Brae" in Scotland - you have to go if you can, its a great optical illusion.

It works by your perception of where up and down is compared to the sea level. It has something to do with trees in your eyeline also.

    Go see it!

The one in Dundalk is not in the "@rse end" of nowhere, it's easily found actually, in a place called Jenkinstown.
The effect is fantastic, even though it's an optical illusion.
I took some people from work up to it and they couldn't believe it, it's a good laugh, you should try it out.

The one outside Dundalk is near my gaff. I took the mates out to it the other week and they thought it was mad . There was 4 of us in the car and it pulled us up the hill. Then we all got out of the car and it pulled the car up the hill.
Its even more mad looking if you have the car going backwards up the hill.
I must get a level spirit out to it to see if it is definitly a hill because i sure looks like one.
Its called the "magic hill " out our way

There's one on the road between Monaghan and Omagh - I've seen at least three strange metallic circular objects in the sky over the N2 in the past year. They are definitely extra terrestrial in origin...

Right... as I'm an ALIEN (Ie: french)... where are these cities? :-)

    Ireland Map:
    http://www.local.ie/general/map/

Omagh is in Co. Tyrone (towards North West) and Monaghan town is in Co. Monaghan, strangely enough :)

There's a place like that near Mamore Gap in Donegal (the scariest place to drive up ever), and there weren't any trees, but you could feel the car rolling up hill. You could see the sea though. Also as far as I recall part of the stream flowing along Barnsmore Gap also appears to be flowing uphill if I remember correctly.

I went back out to the magic hill in Jenkinstown today with my mate Dave and a spirt level. I was in the car rolling up the hill and dave was using the level . Dave says that it isn't as big a hill as it looks but that it is a hill. So going with dave's recomendations its not an optical illusion but in fact it is a magic hill. There is also a river under the magic hill in Jenkinstown.

Yes, and there is a road that runs between them, on which I have seen three UFOs. I've enclosed a map which marks the exact spot in blue. It's quite freaky actually..

A quick google search found the following link :

    http://www.hackwriters.com/Dundalk.htm

If anyone is interested, it contains good instructions for finding the place in question.
