    Many new moped owners just remove the silencer from the exhaust. That way you can hear the muppet coming from a quarter mile away. :D

    But no I've never seen an L-plate on a bike.

    Bikes/mopeds are exempt from the L-plates requirement, as stated in the rules of the road.

    They come with silencers:eek:

    I saw a guy on an R1 a while back, sounded like he had some incredible race exhaust system on. Then I realised the sound was travelling at a different speed to him. The R1 went by hardly making a noise, followed by a guy on a scooter who had attached the exhaust to his bike with string:rolleyes:
