PC Acoustic Damping Mats

My case is a bit on the loud side so i was thinking
about putting these "PC Acoustic Damping Mats"

    http://www.peats.ie/cgi-bin/shop/db.cgi?view=1&id=5366&type=6&sid=367634x0

from peats into it. I'm just worried that the
mats will trap the heat in the case.
Anyone got any experience with these things?
Or would replacing the case and cpu fans be a
    better way to go?
    thanks.

Iv got it installed on my chieftec case. As long as ya dont cover up all the vents and have a couple of case fans heat is not an issue. My 2500 stays at around the 40 mark.

But replacing the cpu fan is still a must.. get the flower cooler from zalman (peats) or the quiet coolermaster heatpipe yokey (Itdirect)

yeah, I got one of these puppies and I'm so glad did. It dramatically reduced the noise of my machine. The only thing left to quiten down now is the psu fan. I can sleep with the thing on now :P

I'd go for a good cpu fan first. does your hd make much noise?
