    The administrator has specified that you can only edit messages for 2880 minutes after you have posted. This limit has expired, so you must contact the administrator to make alterations on your message.

    Whats the story here?

    We've activated an option that gives you 2 days editing time after you post to alter the post. There was an issue with people going back and engaging in post "revisionism" which we decided was a bit suspect. We're trying it out and seeing how it goes.

    Is there a problem with something you want to edit? You can always post a correction subsequently.

    We also had a bot attack where someone was scripting edits of posts to replace them with "." which we felt was erasing history, so the threshhold of 48 hours was put in place as the time when "current post" becomes "historical comment".

    Fair enough point about "revisionism" esp on politcis board I'd say! I just wanted to tidy up a few speiling errors...
