Well i rang this morning, after failing for ADSL a few weeks ago hoping to god ill pass for RADSL but i failed. My only hope now is that the secondry school near us puts in a complaint because they failed, and they reroute some of the copper. Long shot tho..

Just curious as to those of you that failed for ADSL, passed for RADSL.

I actually passsed both ADSL and RADSL, but i only passed RADSL yesterday, very strange that, but anyhoo, will be going with eircoms package soon as I get the yo yos together.

Have a question on that, from you initial order with them how long does it take to get it in

I passed 2 weeks ago and ordered self-install yesterday.

10 working days, I'm told, before I'll have the service.

It extends the range of dsl so that you can be further from the exchange and get it. However the further away you are the lower your download speeds will be. Lowest it will be is 256kb/s apparently.

I passed it too having been failed for regular dsl.
I think i'm going to try and get business dsl (512k) from esat though, as i'm moving house and would be sharing the connection with two (gamer) friends.

I passed with flying colours and I'm going for the standard ADSL, no crazy Rs for me. Now all I have to do is wait for VIA to come to my rescue.

So if i passed for ADSL on the eircom site and the esat site...theres no worries then for me to have to look into RADSL then is there?

Also where do you go to test for RADSL? I havent seen it whilst looking around

RADSL is an option for those of us whome failed the ADSL test. Its max distance between the exchange and your home is greater then ADSL but they don't garentee any speeds over 256k.

If you passed for ADSL (on the site/phone), then theres no need to be tested for RADSL.

Sorry if i caused any confusion :)
