Has anyone tried to install this using the drivers off www.linmodems.org?
I had it working before under slackware 8.1 and debian. I'm now using slackware 9 and it doesn't seem to work. The modules won't go into the kernel. If I try and insert them manually it says they were compiled with gcc 2 and the kernel was compiled with gcc 3.

    Any ideas on work arounds?

Make the modules from scratch using the src available, i started using those drivers around 3 years ago, they have come a long way since then. you'll note that slack 9.0 does indeed use a new version gcc and glibc. Most software for slack 8/8.1 and lower mite need to be re-built from src to get them to work.
