Dreamweaver question

I would like to use Dreamweaver to update certain parts of a large part of my website.

However, page sizes are quite large so i have had to keep the code nice & neat. Even then the page size is 50k approx.

When i bring any of these pages into Dreamweaver, the program uses its own code format (with loads of spaces, indents etc.) and the page sioze goes up to 120+k.

This page size is too big.

Can i use Dreamweaver without it altering my code layout.

try Edit > Preferences > Code Rewriting .... change some options in there maybe.
