Drum and Bass in Dublin

I'm just curious as to the popularity of Drum and Bass with the readers of this board. There don't seem to be many d'n'b-related posts on the board, but with Bassbin's Refuge back in a regular slot in the Metropolitan and the Tivoli and TBMC holding more and more d'n'b nights (e.g. Shy FX's upcoming gig in the Tivoli and Roni Size in the TBMC, neither to be missed by any basshead looking to support the popularity growth) the scene is just getting bigger in Dublin.

    Junglists, make yourselves heard...

also just go to any dnb nite in dub and u will always find a strong following with people who go for the music as the num 1 reason :)

Yeah, I read irishdrumandbass.com occasionally but a lot of it is made up of mates' banter and not much decent d'n'b discussion.

I'm not really into the idea of a pub-based session; when I'm out I like to make a meal out of it. I've bumped into B a number of times out (esp in the Tivoli) though, must head along to at least one of the StudioB sessions.

idnb does get a bit cliquey like that but its a lot better than the forums [fora? forae?] at
    http://www.breakbeat.co.uk

    or even

    http://www.dogsonacid.com

breakbeat.co.uk [the drum n bass arena] tends to be populated by mc lovin burberry hat wearin rude boy wannabes whereas dogsonacid is run by bad company and tends to have a shockin amount of crap on their general forum... producers board is good though

junglist.com used to be ok but is slowly dying a slow death most of the posters end up postin on doa and the arena anyway...

theres also vinyl net, the various jungle radio sites but generally their forums arent fantastic...

then again nothing to stop you turnin back the tide of matey banter chat by postin a few well informed opinions on the board ya know what i mean?
