The scrapping of driver aids has been put back till the start of next year.

Its beacuse of Williams and them taking legal action or something.

looks like another year of boring races then

    Schumacher is delighted.

Both Williams and Mclaren have started an arbitration on the FIA because of the amount of regulation changes implemented in such a short space of time.

I have no opinion on it..dunno why.

Im sure Schumi is as he feels he can extract much more speed from the car with the aids and he does want to be quick as possible.

I am all in favour of scrapping driver aids :D but in fairness, in the interests of "cost-cutting," it makes more sense to ban them at the end of a season. Trouble is, is the FIA prepared to police this area properly next year? I can't see the teams agreeing to a common E.C.U. and if the FIA aren't clearly able to show all teams are palying within the rules it will be back to the good old days of Ferrari bashing...

I think this is sensible idea. The driver aids were banned at such a stage as most teams already had their cars designed. For any of the teams with a smaller budget that means rejigging the entire design to implement all the trick diffs and whatnot that are needed when traction control isn't present. This way they can leave this seasons cars alone and from the start of working on next years they can write traction control out of it.

It's the sensible way to go alright.

If you really want to make a major difference to next years races, put all the cars on Skid rigs and give the control's to 3 year olds ;)

get rid of the techno crap, maybe even a sequential gearlever!

as for williams etc, I dont remember them bitching in 93 with prost and hill, rules are the same for everyone. TS!

significantly reduce non-mecanical grip, and go back to slicks!

    sheggin techno crap :(

    thats my rant FTM

While you're at it SouperComputer, how about 3 year old YBNs and standard Solo chassis all round? :)

Or watch the CHAMP CAR World Series, powered by Bridgestone and Ford. (read... two-chassis, one engine, one tire formula).
