just incase any1 out there has or encountered this problem - u click on the bf1942.exe icon, it begins to load, screen goes black for 2 seconds then goes back to windows with no error pop up, just a sound then this is how u can fix it - VideoDefault.con file in your settings folder contains a line that says…

just incase any1 out there has or encountered this problem -

then this is how u can fix it -

VideoDefault.con file in your settings folder contains a line that says renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0 .. SET THIS TO 1 and it will allow you to get into the freakin game. Everything works fine for me now

open it with notepad and make it read only after.
