    Hi again.

The idea of a NNTP interface to boards was brougt up a few months back.

I just came accross this today though:
    http://hades.gothic.at/~aoe/vbnntp/

And it looks like it's do the trick right out of the box,

our license for DNEWS expired (despite it supposedly being a lifetime license). We are requesting a new one from the company that makes it and our news service will return then.
    Sorry for the bother!

That VBNNTP thingie *does* look good but we arent going to install it just yet as there is a hellova lot of change going on here in Boards HQ at the moment and we should have a lifetime license for the other interface (which we paid hard cash for)!

    DeV.

vbnntp appears to give an nntp interface to the actual boards posts rather than a generic usenet gateway.

    Some people!

Why have an RDF feed when you can ave something that's existed for abotu 20+ years and is tailor made for discussion boards?

A feed like that'd be very basic, because it'd only have the last 20 posts type stuff that you see on the front page. Either that or you'd need a feed for each individual board.

Not entirely a bad idea, but infinitely inferior to NNTP for providing a full interface to the boards.

From googling it look like there is, or will be released an addon which provieds feeds:

    It'll also be a feature of VB3 too. (o:
