I noticed over the weekend that some people were getting excellent pings (like consistently <200), such as Nemises and others. I believe these people were on indigo. Tinet never seems to be below 200 and averages more around 250. I managed to do a traceroute from an indigo dialin to quake.ie and they have a connect straight to one of the main tinet routers (pabear). Unfortunetly i didnt save the trace.

Can some of you guys post up some traceroutes? from both tinet and indigo, and any other isps, so we can try figure which is the best ISP.

Dial in to your account and open a dos window, then type "tracert ffa1.quake.ie", copy and paste the output to the wwwboard.

You might also want to try a "ping ffa1.quake.ie", just to get an idea of the complete route performance.

This is in the interests of ALL modem players and people that PAY for their internet!

The battle against ping in Ireland commences! (well sort of, it'll be in a relaxed irish kind of way, maybe if we get Paisley on our side we can get somewhere, ramble ramble, god its early on a monday to have to work ...
