I read somewhere that this can be done using wireless technology, but you need to have the proper appliances. Has anyone done this sort of thing? A lecturer I had last year had most of his kitchen networked - but he's not lecturing this year so i can't talk to him. If anyone has done this I'd like some feedback. Maybe hooking up your kettle, that soft of thing. Plus any useful links would be great. Thanks in advance!

X10 isn't wireless but dont let that put you off as devices use the power cables to talk to each other. You dont need to install any extra cables.
