How feasable is having a one on one league up and running? I think it might be a nice idea for after the iqcl is over. The ladder is fairly decent, but personally I'm finding it hard to get matches ("i only play at weekends" being the usual reply), and would much prefer to have a prearranged time and place to meet. The league could eventually bit split into seperate divisions, with promotions and relegations etc., and of course all the normal penalties that we have in the iqcl.

Anyone having trouble getting IQOOL matches can play me. I'll only refuse if I'm eating or if you choose DM4. The one on one league with divisions is a good idea but hard to admin. Like in the UKOOL, the top division would run quite smoothly but lower divisions would be full of postponements I think.

I didn't think you could refuse on the grounds of level picked? I thought the challenger got to pick the level?
I hope this is right otherwise the league will be silly with people specialising in one level alone . . bah

No Mr. Mouserat. I'll be sporting enough to play anyone down in position 40 or whatever that's finding it hard to get matches as long as they're sporting enough not to ask me to play DM4. I don't like it.

As in the rules, nobody can refuse to play someone within 5 places of him so I had to play those 2 cads, Reaper and Braincell on DM4. I can hop around and rocket jump all over dm4 on a LAN but online I can't yet. People will specialise in one level but they will also improve on weaker levels like me hopefully on DM4 once they have to play them more.

I'm going to get that fella Reaper on DM2. :)

no its not. im talkin like a league system, where everyone plays everyone else, which will result in a much broader picture (foo :) - unlike QL98, where people are sorted by counties, resulting in some good players going out early and not so good ones progressing because they happen to be the best in their area.

True yeah, but with people being penalised those who ARE playing matches will move up, and the rest can pish off. BTW anyone have the adress of the UKOOL homepage?
