    I BOUGHT THE FOLLOWING GRAPHICS CARDS I HAD A 16MB ATI(SUPPLIED BY DELL) INSTALLED AND SINCE I INSTALLED THE NEW GRAPHICS CARD I AM HAVING TROUBLE PLAYING SOME GAMES SUCH AS MAFIA THEY RUN VERY SLOWLY AND IN POOR QUALITY BUT WHEN I OVERCLOCK THE GRAPHICS CARD I CAN GET THEM TO RUN IN DECENT QUALITY BUT DONT WANT TO BE OVERCLOCKING THE CARD EVERY TIME THAT I WANT TO PLAY CERTAIN GAMES

    COULD ANY BODY TELL ME WHAT THE REASON IS

    have you checked around to see if it has an issue with XP?

    GTA III, XP and a GF2 ran like crap without the patch.

    not yet only installed the graphics card last weekend and went to test the card last nite by running some high detail games eg mafia hitman2 noone lives forever 2 etc

    Should work fine with that card.


    have you enabled agp 4x in bios and used the latest drivers from www.nvidia.com

    I have a less spec card than that and XP and mafia runs fine in 1024.

    hmmmm, did you uninstall all insances of the old card, including drivers?

    do that if you havent already and maybe reinstall DX

    using dx 9 and had just installed it before i installed the new graphics card
    will try the uninstall drivers again but sure that i had got rid of them all..

    i reinstalled the dx9 and most the games worked bar mafia which is annoying me cos i just dieing to play the bloody thing cos it looks brill so any other ideas
