    http://money.cnn.com/2003/03/25/commentary/game_over/column_gaming/index.htm
(Ironically, players from Germany, which opposes the U.S. action, often tend to play as Iraqi soldiers.)

Kinda OT to politics but shows how far CNN will go in their jingoism.
Btw noone on www.bf1942.com.de picks Iraq in a stance against US ,they pick simply because you get an AK47 and MIGs in game its better than M16 and F16s.

That's a bit rich, given the fact that the latest version of the US Army's game Army Ops has nice new desert themed maps to keep the kids interested. :)

In the game, both sides see themselves as the americans and see their opponents as 'terrorists'.

    Teeth.

    lol... see below:
While it's obviously too early to even consider a game based on the current conflict,

C&C Generals has a scenario, whereby you can enact the storming of Baghdad. Iraq, and other middle eastern countries, have always featured largely in US produced games of all types.

The same works in Counterstrike, for weapons. Many people, myself included prefer the terrorist weapons. It has nothing to do with a "side" prefernece

It's still hugely entertaining to hop onto American CS servers, join the T side and scream "FOR ALLAH! DEATH TO THE INFIDEL!" into voicecomm every time you kill a CT, though....

Or maybe I'm just easily amused :)

LOL Sadly the first casualty of war is a sense of humour. You would probably banned and be reported so they could invade your country next. :)

Nah, 12 year olds on daddys pc have been advocating such humour since the internet became popular so the jokes about as old and as funny as knock knock - the names change, Bin Laden derivitives with predictable taunts becoming the fashionable cloak for twits of the day after 9/11 for example.

And dave, you can get pretty playable ping to the US on ISDN:| At least for beating up noobs anyway.
