For some reason when someone tries to add to the guest book, it wont work, The following eror message appears -
    Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, admin and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

    Apache/1.3.26 Server at www.futuremusiccorp.net Port 80

I dont recall mesing with the guestbook script or anything, so any ideas?

    Mike.

Have a look at your error log, it should yield some sort of message as to what the error is.

It'll probably give you a perl error message, mentioning your 'guestbook.pl'

Most servers (I think) store this in the 'logs' directory, in the directory below your root document directory

No, that looks like the log for the guestbook. There should be a server error log, called 'error' or 'error.log', looking similar to:

He means the Apache error log. Is this a virtual host or a dedicated/co-located server? Do you have shell access?

(The script is "working", since it throws the correct error when you leave the fields blank. Perhaps you're out of space?)

Lads you're talking to an idiot here, I know nothing of what you speak, I can find no error log.

Only the folowing - 1 Guestlog, and 3 access logs and an WS_FTP log.

I think I'll just bin the guestbook! Less hassle, if ppl want to get in touch they can e-mail me...

Well anywayz for info if u can get to the root you should see folders like "htdocs","temp" and "logs" etc. Go into the logs and download the latest log file and see what it says.
