every time I shut down my machine, it goes into a standby mode ??? I have not changed anything in the power options of my win2k machine. I've updated/flashed the Bios. The problem started when I plugged in a second harddrive into the machine, but I have unplugged it since. I have also tried taking out the battery for 10mins to clear memory but the computer still goes into standby every time I tell her to shut down ?

Grrr, nothings poping up in the event viewer either ?
