Another poor preformance where we are victorious

Humphreys didn't deserve man of the match his place kicking was good but his kicking out of hand was not impressive and far too frequent (of course im slightly anti-humphreys as i would have had O'Gara out there)

i would have given it to Maggs

Bring on England(and wales), b'cos if we finally do play to our potential it will be grand slam time woooo

Hopeless attacking play! Awful use of the kicked ball to relive pressure, some dreadfully slow recyling (or were the French always nearly offside?)

Does Humphries have the jury nobbled? Maggs had a great game.

Stringer was too quick to "up and under" the ball to buy time, in fact there was too much kicking allround.

Still a wins a win and now all we need is for Itlay to have the game of a lifetime tomorrow! :D

Finally is it me, or does a victory without a try feel somewhat empty?

    Mike.

I would agree with some of what you said, they will have to do a lot of work on recycling the ball because that was very poor

i think the attacking play wasnt that bad it was just that the french did there homework and made sure nothing broke through the middle

maggs played well but there is no point him doing a crash ball if they cant recycle the ball from it especially againist england were turning over ball is second nature to them

humphreys played ok, i think as the guy said before his ball delivery was a little predictable but kicking was dead on and effectively won us the game

jordan murphy played a blinder and should of got man of the match i think the agruement that he isnt strong enough is now proven incorrect, and when demsey comes back we will really will have some back line

forwards didnt have a good game, they need to put some more work into the rolling malls and protecting the ball as well

STILL WE WON, GRAND SLAM BRING IT ON:cool:

How Humphs gets MOTM all the time is beyond me. Yes, he played well but he wasn't pivotal as he should be. But all in all he played very well. I wonder how O'Gara would have played in that match?
Ireland in the last quarter were only brillant. They really pushed the tiring French out of the way.
    Great game

Jaysus that was a sloppy match. Humphries shouldn't have got man of the match. It's starting to get a bit sickening that the kickers get MOTM every time they score all the points. Maybe they felt obliged to do it on his 50th cap. But he did make a few very stupid decisions like kicking it rather than going for another phase. I think Ireland would have scored a try if Humphries had made a few better decisions. I think Maggs deserved it for his work rate.

Other than that it was a great win and that drop goal from Murphy was a piece of class. Great win as well which brings it down to the England game. ( I'm presuming we can beat Wales :p )

Alas they still will keep on picking him as ireland are winning.

We need o gara against england to have any chance.

Himphreys is a far better kicker on his day than O' Gara. But then again, his days are numbered, in low numbers.

What about that drop-goal from Geordan Murphy? One of the classiest pieces of rugby I've ever seen!
