    With DVD recorders becoming cheaper and cheaper it's looks inevitable that VideoTape will be going the way of the Dinosaurs in the coming years. So I'm wondering, will all you tv watchers miss those big chunky black tapes that record your favorite shows hark back to the 1980's or will you be glad to be rid of them?

    Until re-writable DVD disks become affordable the videotape will be safe. Although DVD players are commonplace now it will be a good while before recorders are widely used.

    As someone with rooms full of the damn things, no I will not miss VHS tapes, the lack of quality improvement over 25 years says it all.

    I posted the thread twice , first time didn't have a poll so I posted it again to include one. When I went to delete the first thread the program wouldn't let me get rid of it so I just left it alone in the assumption that the admin of this board would delete it or that people would just stick to the thread with the poll in it and let this one quickly dissappear.

    I suggest no more posts to this thread.
