Yea...L+O Criminal Intent starts tonite..Network 2 at 9.30.
Hopefully it will be as good as the other two series in the franchise.

svu is class, i used to watch law and order ages ago but didnt know the origional was still on tv...hope criminal intent is good

Sorry to dredge up such an old post, only one i could find for the show...but USA has renewed the show for the 10th and final season, ordering 8 episodes:

Most importantly Vincent D'Onfrio will there for the full season, reprising the role of Det. Goren! Kathryn Erbe will hopefully also come back as Eames. It'd be good to see the show return to them for one final go.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent has officially been cancelled.

The crime drama was renewed for a tenth and supposedly final season in September 2010.

Series producer Chris Brancato suggested in May that the show could be picked up for an 11th season, provided that viewers showed enough interest for the final episodes.

However, USA co-president Jeff Wachtel has now confirmed that Law & Order: Criminal Intent is gone for good.

When asked if the show would be returning for season 11, Wachtel told TV Line: "No - and this is said with respect for the show, respect for Dick [Wolf], and most significantly with respect to the audience."

In June, Law & Order: Criminal Intent star Kathryn Erbe confessed that she was hoping for an 11th season of the crime drama, revealing that her co-star Vincent D'Onofrio was also keen to return.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent aired its final episode on June 26.

It's a shame but I had thought this was the final season, with no chance of renewal so I had accepted it.
I actually thought the tenth season was the best in years - they seemed to have harkened back to the early years with more snarky dialogue and D'Onfrio channelling the kooky so much more eagerly. I would have loved to have seen more of the show in this renewed state but at least the finale ended the show in a respectful way.

Season 10 started on RTE 1 last night and it starts on Universal Channel on the 15th of January

I think it is generally. But the titles say Law & Order Criminal Intent.
