An early test version of the next major release of Microsoft Windows has been leaked onto the Net, offering a glimpse of the company’s plans for the new software.

C¦Net are a bit slow off the mark on this one - pre-release builds of Longhorn have been on the Net for weeks and weeks. I had a discussion on another webboard about the new security features (or lack of them as they haven't upgraded to WinFS yet) at the end of January. The newer build is certainly an improvement on the last one. Eye candy is taking over more and more of the screen as you can see from GS's attached pic.

Its getting very Linux - KDE like.... But still looks a lot like XP with a different theme.
