You should try the Spectrum Emulator for the PC. It's real cheap to buy, and I have around 11MB's of games sitting on my machine.

I can't believe I used to wait 5 mins for some of them to load in :)

And who could forget Elite for the Spectrum, with that wonderfull little sub game called

    LENS-LOCK

Who remembers that then, heh?, 5mins to load the game, 3mins trying to work out what the hell the 2 chars on the screen were thru that stupid contraption, and then, get it wrong and reload again!

That was the beeznees alright, although I had a traitorous Amstrad CPC464 - anyone else remember Lazer Squad? How utterly cool - basically the same as all
those UFO games out now for the PC, written by the same guys and all, but it was the FIRST!

Elite wasted months of my kiddeyhood alright, anyone know how good Elite II is for the PC? I had a look at Elite (1) for the PC a few years ago , but it fitted on a floppy and was crap...

Plus, anyone else reckon Elite would transfer as absoloutley top notch to a MUD version - as long as it supported several thousand users at once :)

Is Eye Of The Moon ever going to be released? Mike Singleton said it was due out in 1987. Come on Mike ffs! You're 11 years late!
Doomdark's Revenge was class except for that damn fog that was every where after 200 days or so.

I liked Elite on the PC!
Hmmmm - Did everyone who played Elite have ..ah,
a certain 'moral latitude' that allowed them to
deal in Drugs, Slave, Weapon, Piracy (my personal
    favourite)?

Elite II is alright - nothing cooler than slapping
a 100MW pulse laser on onto a heavy freighte and
trying to shot the sh!t out of a space station.
Oh - it fits onto one disk as well...

Anyone know anything about Elite III? (supposed to
    be as buggy as hell...)

I had hacked copies of Elite and Tomahawk that didn't need the wretched Lens-Lock thing. It worked fine with Tomahawk but half my scanner in Elite was covered in fuzzy stuff. So my ship felt like a battered old wreck.

Ask Rev Hellfire about Elite III, there was a small bug in it which meant you couldn't dock with a space station :)

Sort of messed up the gameplay a bit
