Is the irish online apple store the best place to buy new macs? Or can you get better deals somewhere in dublin maybe?

Well it's not a 'rip off' by any stretch.. but I'd still shop around. Sometimes you get good deals on bundles - like a dealer might give you a better price on a Mac+extra memory.

I've had good dealings with Typetec (www.typetec.ie).

    Teeth.

Have to say I've used them twice, once about 8 years ago and again recently and both times I had hassle. Thats said there are so few apple dealers you can't really pick and choose. I wouldn't consider any of them "very good". Certainly buying parts and peripherals is a lot cheaper in the UK and the US than here so for sure you'd get a better price on a full system. Though theres an issue with warranty and servicing if you require it at a latter date.

If it was me I wouldn't pay the rip-off prices here.
