    Hi from Sligo!I recently applied for two BBC cards using my friends address in Sheffield,he received them and popped them into an envelope and posted them to me,two weeks later i still had not received them so i rang the BBC registration line pretending i was my mate from Sheffield to see what happened,they said that the cards were active!So i was a bit shocked that maybe someone stole them on the postal route to me and used them in their own Sky box.
    How could this happen as they would have to know what address they were registered to,anyway i got them blocked and two replacements are on their way to my mate,but i am a bit miffed that someone could have got them,i even had reference numbers for both cards!

    At a guess I reckon your mate used 2nd class postage.

    Postage to RoI is dearer than internal UK post. Most UK people don't realise it. Since November the Royal Mail have been holding letters that haven't enough postage on them for approx 6 weeks putting a nasty blue sticker on them saying you didn't pay enough postage and then delivering them.

    It's a real pain.

    I can confirm this. I had someone send me a cheque for a couple hundred quid for some equipment I sold him. It took over a month for the letter to get to me and it had all sorts of nasty blue stickers on it.

    The cards are probably being deliberately delayed. They'll get there...in the end....
