    DX 9 has some issuse AFAIK. It depends on the card too, not many implement it yet.

    If it aint broke, dont fix it!

    DX8 has been out a lot longer so it'd be fine-tuned by now I reckon. DX9 is bound to have some unknown/new issues, plus most games/apps won't have taken advantage of DX9, yet.

    Just my 2c.

    Stick with 8 until the all-clear. For some reason best known to the developers each new version is
    buggy, they used to run the car industry like that....

    I will not budge from 8.1a until I get a new machine.
    8.1b was a travesty. I don't expect 9 to be much better.
