Happy days, my contract with NTL Go Digital expires this week:p

I'm thinking of getting Sky, how much does the basic package cost these days?

Actually there are a number of more basic packs than Family.
They don't have Irish TV or BBC1/BBC2

Knowledge Pack (a few euro cheaper): Discovery, H&L, Animal Planet, Nat Geo, Sky1 etc.

Popular Pack:??? More Ents, less Knowledge stuff.

The "Value Pack" is very bad value little to it apart from Sky1.

You get Sky1 in all the packs. Even if you don't want it. Dunno what cut off is on Sky Mix. Heard rumour some folks get Sky1 Mix on FTV card just by asking!

Sky claim CNN, Sky News and QVC as part of their packages, but of course these are FTA (Work with no card).

Inexplicably the Fox News, Bloomberg and CNBC are subscription even though these are FTA on other satellites easily received in Ireland on a Digibox.
