I was wondering does anybody know about servlets. My servlet requires data to be imputted from a html file. The servlet returns the result to the client. The servlet will require java

I'd advise you go and have a look at HotScripts.com There are a lot of links to tutorials etc.

In spite of the risk of sounding constructive  you could also try http://www.jsptut.com/

It has exercises at the end of each chapter and stuff. Hmm, I think my earlier post was a little cruel. Apologies.

http://www.apl.jhu.edu/~hall/java/Servlet-Tutorial/ is also very good. Read up on HTML forms as well.

http://www.mycgiserver.com/ will host servlets and jsps for free, there is a little quiz before they give you any space though. You'll find the answer in the Java API. Thats the only clue I'm giving you.
